Legal Week Intelligence is the independent research division of Legal Week, part of the Incisive Media stable of leading business publications.

Legal Week Intelligence conducts research for law firms, as a group or individually, under strict Market Research Society guidelines, on generic and industry specific topics. Research can be in the public domain or form part of a confidential project for individual clients on a bespoke basis.

We advise business leaders on their critical issues and opportunities including strategy, marketing, operations and technology. We work with leading organisations across the private, public and social sectors. We have deep functional and industry expertise as well as breadth of geographical reach.

In all cases, Legal Week Intelligence benefits from access to the industry expertise of Legal Week editors and journalists, a dedicated research & analysis team and the global reach of Incisive Media and its affiliates. Market reports

We produce four annual market reports, between them covering the most important elements that make up a successful law firm practice – graduate recruitment (Law Student Report), fee earner engagement (Employee Satisfaction Report), service delivery (Information Technology Report) and brand perception and client profile (Client Satisfaction Report). Reports and presentations can be targeted for different audiences, from junior assistants to partners. Firms can add bespoke elements to the market surveys for greater coverage of areas of concern.

Benchmarker reports

On a quarterly basis we produce a more intensely-focused research piece looking at specific areas of legal services, effectively raising both the awareness of particular issues and the profile of a law firm or service provider. Recent topics have included global litigation trends, legal process outsourcing and risk management for clients such as Hogan Lovells, Integreon and Deloitte. The research can be promoted within Legal Week and at roundtables and webinars, depending on client need.

Brand awareness studies

On an individual basis, we conduct brand awareness projects for law firms on a practice area or location basis, enabling them to gauge their client reach and reputation in a detailed and powerful way. Research data can be collected in telephone interviews, allowing greater verbatim commentary for open-ended questions. A standard data analysis will be supported by a confidential results presentation.
